Throat Hit 4/10

Flavor Properties

Sweet almost butterscotch like candy, was hoping for a hard candy this is definitely more like a soft chewy toffee flavor, a nice rich vanilla with, surprisingly creamy and a smooth butter finish.

Relatable Flavors

Remind me of Werther's soft caramel, slightly more buttery with a hint of honey.

Off Flavors

Believe the throat hit comes from the small amount of alcohol burn that I'm getting, similar to Kentucky bourbon or Jamaican rum. Not at all unpleasant just unexpected.

Position In The Recipe

5% should make a fantastic candy base . Lower percentages should accent other candies such as butterscotch or caramel, and take the top note position in any ice cream or creamy recipe.

Pairings

Other candies, bakeries, tobacco's, creams, dark berries, and vanilla's.

Notes

I pick this one up from Vaporstek one of the most highly rated flavorings on their website, thought it was an interesting profile. I think this could easily replace caramel or butterscotch and almost any recipe with little or no change to percentages.
