T_Mace
Specs:
- percentage used: 3%
- steep time: 40 days (and 40 nights)
- PG/VG ratio: 50/50
- vaped on NarDA rda, A1 Kanthal, 24 gauge, spaced coil, 0.7 ohm, 12-18 watts
Type of Tobacco
- non-aromatic
Flavor Properties:
- bright
- lightly spicy
- fairly dry
Relatable Flavors:
- I hate to say this but FLV Kentucky, FLV Native and I suspect FLV Oriental (haven't tried Oriental yet but it smells very similar in the bottle)
- spice note is somewhere between a citrus and a mulled wine spice, can't exactly describe a real world equivalent for this but you'll know it when you taste it
- creamy mouthfeel (no sweetness from the creaminess)
Mouth Feel:
- medium density
Off Flavors:
- none
Position In A Recipe:
- I see this in the foreground mostly but that spice could be used as an accent
Suggested Percentage:
- 3-5% for upfront
- 1-2% for an accent (I haven't experimented with this as an accent)
Pairings:
- Virginia or any leafy bacco
- creams
- bourbon maybe
- Acetyl Pyrazine, FLV Pistachio, maybe even CAP Toasted Almond
- vanilla
- berries, fig, plum
Conclusion:
- First, let me say, if you haven't picked up any FLV tobaccos and you enjoy tobacco vapes, you are doing yourself a huge disservice by not picking some up. Why are you still here.. go buy some!!
- Second, this flavor is good but I detect only minute differences between FLV Kentucky, Native and Turkish.
- I happen to have a mason jar full of Turkish Izmir (real pipe tobacco which I use for NETs) and it smells nothing like FLV Turkish. That is almost an unfair comparison though because there are very few, if any, synthetic tobaccos that taste remotely similar to the real thing.
- You can't go wrong with FLV Turkish, it's very tasty, but I'm just sort of sad that it tastes so similar to the other 2 FLV tobaccos that I mentioned.
Note
Please, someone who has Kentucky, Native, Turkish and or Oriental, chime in if you notice major differences in each flavor. I'm starting to think I'm missing something here!! My palate seems to be working fine though, I taste all my other stuff properly. Chime in!!!
